Amrita Rao Biography :

Amrita Rao is a young Indian film actress and model. A psychology student from Sophiya College in Mumbai, Amrita Rao had a deep fascination for acting, but never in her wildest dreams did she imagine that one day she would become one of the top actresses in the country. Hailing from a well-to-do Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin family, Amrita Rao was born on June 17, 1981. She is well versed in Hindi, Marathi, Konkani and English. She is also a passionate reader of short stories, especially by Jeffery Archer.

Amrita Rao – The Model

One fine day, while still in college, Amrita Rao casually walked in to the audition for an ad film ‘Fairever Face Cream’. Little did she know that this very audition is going to change her life forever. She beat sixty other models and bagged the ad campaign. The moment her ‘Fairever Face Cream’ ad hit the screens she was flooded with ad offers from several renowned brands.

After the success of her first ad campaign, Amrita Rao was busy launching well-known brands like Cadbury's Perk Chocolates, Hindustan Levers - Close-up, Proctor & Gamble - Pantene Hair Wash, Godrej - Nikhar Soap, Johnson & Johnsons - Clean & Clear Face Wash, Anne French, 3 Roses Tea and other South Indian Jewelleries. She even acted in a music video "Wo yaar mera, pyaar mera aaya hain milne ko".
